Server hosting and requirements are something that i personally am very interested in. But to make a choice for this you will need to understand a few core ideas for server load.

a) As your player slots increase the server resource require increases almost exponentially. Its not quite, but its a good explanation. So its not as simple as saying 5-6 servers to the box. You should be asking your self 5-6 12 slot servers or 3-4 20 slot servers.

b) BW can really be ignored these days. There is no real way that you will ever kill a servers BW cap these days with "a game server" only. So look for STABLE, CORE backbones over huge warpy bandwidth. You dont care if you only get 10MBit as long as its rock solid.

c) As will all avalible server bots, do NOT under estimate LOAD of these little buggers. B3 with stats, hits and all its trendy features attualy takes its toll on the server. I have seen on servers before B3 lag its self into oblivion if it does too much without a good enough CPU. Remember that most server bots require a DB back end too, this normaly increases your memory footprint by huge amounts as it generates a cache for better data access.
